Message from the Dean

It is with great pride and a strong sense of purpose that I accept the position of Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science, Veterinary Science and Fisheries at the Agriculture and Forestry University.  Historically, our faculty has acquired a high standard of excellence through its commitment to quality education, scientific advancement and service to the community. Building on this foundation, we are now entering a new chapter of growth and change.

My ambition is to develop the faculty into a national and international centre of excellence in teaching, research for innovation and communication. Achieving this vision will require a rigorous improvement of academic quality, investment in research capacity, upgrading of infrastructures and greater involvement of industry, communities and development partners.

We will develop a culture that values excellence, responsibility, creativity and ethical leadership. By empowering our faculty and students, fostering interdisciplinary cooperation and embracing new technologies and global best practices, we will create an environment in which innovation flourishes, and where impactful solutions are generated.

The future of animal and veterinary science and fisheries is closely linked to the future of food systems, public health, the environment, and economic development. Together with our students, faculty, alumni and partners, I am confident that we will raise our faculty to a higher level and contribute in a lasting way to Nepal and the world.
